TRAID – Cutting The Chains

Erin O’Connor and the charity TRAID have joined up to create an exclusive exhibition at the Richard Young Gallery.

TRAID (Textile Recycling for Aid and International Development) is a charity working to fight global poverty through its clothes recycling and environmental activities in the UK. To mark TRAID’s 10th year, Erin O’Connor travelled to India to document how TRAID’s work to divert clothes from landfill is improving the lives of women embroidery home workers in Delhi, and bringing the invisible last link in the global textile supply chain into the mainstream.
